The Junto was a club established in 1727 by Benjamin Franklin
for mutual improvement in Philadelphia. Also known as the Leather Apron Club,
its purpose was to debate questions of morals, politics, and natural philosophy,
and to exchange knowledge of business affairs. Moderndayjunto.com was created to
continue where Ben left off serving as a portal where local community leaders
can unite to improve the community and their business by combining efforts and resources.

Jefferson County Residents
Starting at the end of 2009, Jefferson county residents
will be charged county property taxes. It is said that the
rate will be approximately $1.67 for every $100 of the
property's assessed value.
